Julie asked for some appetizer recipes, here are four of my favorites:
Mushroom Appetizer
1/2 stick of butter
pkg. sliced mushrooms (10 oz. )
garlic salt
1/2 c. green onion, chopped
Saute and spoon over a circle of brie cheese on a pretty bowl or plate. Put in oven at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Serve with crackers or crusty bread.
Wonton Appetizers
1 c. sharp cheese, grated
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can artichoke hearts chopped in small pieces
1/2 cup shredded parmesan
1 can ch. green chili's (4 oz.)
Mix above ingredients together. Push wonton wrappers into mini muffin pans and fill w/ mixture. Cook at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until brown. Makes approx. 48.
Broccoli Appetizers
Crescent rolls (put in 9x13" pan and bake until lightly brown.)
Mix 1 c. miracle whip with 8 oz. cream cheese & 1 pkg. dry ranch mix.
Spread on cooled dough.
Sprinkle broccoli and cauliflower that has been chopped finely with food processor, onto cream mixture. Sprinkle w/ fancy shredded cheese in two colors. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut into squares before serving.
Italian appetizer bites
2 / 8oz pkgs. crescent rolls
1/2 lb. sliced deli salami
1/2 lb. sliced provolone cheese
1/2 lb. sliced deli ham
7 eggs
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 jars (12 oz. each) roasted red peppers, drained
Heat oven to 350 deg. Coat a 13x9 " pan with cooking spray. Unroll 1 package of the rolls and use dough to line the bottom of prepared pan. Pinch seams together.
Cover rolls with half the salami, provolone cheese, and ham. Lightly beat together 6 of the eggs and the parmesan cheese; pour half evenly over top. Top with half the roasted red peppers. Repeat layering with remaining salami, cheese, ham, egg mixture and peppers. Top with remaining package crescent rolls.
Lightly beat remaining egg and brush over top. Cover dish with foil; bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool for 1 hour; cut into 32 squares and serve.
